Celebrating 50 years in Ballygriffin

Nano Nagle Birthplace, Ballygriffin will celebrate the 50th Birthday of its purchase by the Presentation Sisters on April 26th.  Sister Anthony Maloney of Cloyne was the main inspiration behind the transfer of property from Mr. John Cronin to the Sisters.  The Coach House of the Nagle Family has been renovated as a residence and the Conference Centre and Bungalows now grace the space in the shadow of the Nagle Mountains where Nano played with her siblings in the early -18th century.

At 2pm Irish time on Friday 26 April 2024, there will be a livestream of the prayer service being held. You can access the livestream on the following link: https://ontrackfilms.ie/live.php

We are a living heritage centre located amongst the breath taking scenery of the Blackwater Valley. The centre marks the birth place of the foundress of the Presentation Congregation, Nano Nagle.

Nano Nagle Birthplace provides tranquillity and spirituality and is the perfect location for those looking for some time out in a natural peaceful setting.

Our mission is to promote a vision of eco spirituality - the natural interconnectedness of everything, which leads to personal transformation and a sense of responsibility to our earth and to all living beings.

We run retreats, courses, school programmes, day away programmes and host conferences & events. Visitors can come and do a heritage & organic farm tour, cosmic walk, work on an allotment and simply enjoy the natural beauty of the place.

Our base is a 32-acre certified organic farm with dining facilities and self-catering accommodation that operates to the highest environmental standards.
